The Rotary Club of Chester has now started taking Raft Race entries for the 2015 Raft Race.
The date is Sunday 12th July and you can download the relevant forms from our Entry Form page.
This year’s theme “ Chester through the ages, Roman, Medieval, Victorian to Modern Times” and we are as always looking forward with great anticipation to the wide range of interpretations that will arrive on the water.
Raft Race Entries – More Information
Prizes will be given for the best interpretation of the theme, and the three fastest time classifications of Overall, Ladies, Hostelry and Education so please specify your classification on the entry form. A letter of DECLARATION is enclosed on page 6. This must be correctly completed, signed and returned with your entry form on page 3 together with a cheque before your application can be accepted. Please read the rules very carefully. These form a part of the application. Ensure that all members of your crew are familiar with them and agree to abide by them. The FINISH LINE is located just ABOVE the weir on the right bank of the river (going downstream). MAKE IT A PARTY ON THE MEADOWS!! Reserved Hospitality Areas on The Meadows are available. The cost of a standard plot 20 metres by 10 metres is £250 and perfect if you have a large group of supporters and would like ‘to make a day of it’. Collections or collecting boxes on behalf of other charities are NOT permitted at this event. We look forward to receiving your 2015 entry application and fee.
